**Full Job Description**

**Public Sector People (PSP) **are on the hunt for an enthusiastic Junior Digital Communications Officer
***who would be interested in a 6 month contract to join an exciting NSW Government organisation.
- _Immediate State_

- _6 month contract_
- _$35 - $37 p/h + Super_
- _35 hrs per week Monday - Friday (opportunity to work 4 days if needed)_
- _Experience with managing social media platforms would be essential_
- This is an entry level role that supports the Communications team through social media content creation and the monitoring of social media community pages. The role also requires providing support for updating the Council’s website and intranet as well as drafting e-newsletters._

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the comms team to create engaging and compelling social media content, including graphics, images, videos, and written posts for a variety of audiences.
- Monitor the organisations social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) on a daily basis, ensuring timely responses to comments, messages, and inquiries.
- Monitor social media community pages and report on any relevant conversations
- Proof read and edit social media posts from other teams within the organisation
- Provide analytics on engagement and audience growth on social media pages
- Provide support to upload content on the organisations website and intranet.
- Asist in drafting the Council and staff e-newsletters

**About you**:

- A degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience in digital communications or social media management is a plus, but not required
- A passion for digital communications, social media, and community engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and crafting engaging content.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms
- A collaborative and proactive mindset, willing to learn and contribute to a supportive team.
- Government experience desirable
- Must be fully vaccinated
