**About Huang Ying Jung Nursing Home**

Residing on the leafy Bushlands Ave in Gordon, Huang Ying Jung Nursing Home is the home for 84 residents. It was commissioned in 2023 and it was designed and constructed as a state-of-the-art facility for Aged care services.

Since its completion, Huang Ying Jung Nursing Home has won the following awards:

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled General Services Officer - Maintenance to join our Huang Ying Jung Nursing Home.

This role will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and day-to-day checks to ensure the new facility is well maintained to its service level.

**Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure all functions in the facilities are in good running order.
- Attend repair & maintenance requests and preventative maintenance duties as assigned
- Report emergencies, hazards, problems identified and complaints received to Managers/Assets and Property Officer for intervention
- Identify, gather, analyse, assess and submit maintenance requests when professional services are required. Liaise with contracts for specialised services.
- Assist with general services duties directed by the Facility Manager & Property Officer.

**About the Successful Applicant**

**Essential**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in General Services/Maintenance/Handyman duties.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in building maintenance
- Demonstrated understanding of Australian Standards
- Demonstrated strong organising skills and ability to plan and prioritise work.
- Ability to undertake good record keeping and to perform accurate data entry.
- Computer literacy and the ability to quickly become competent in other software programs.
- Australian Citizenship / Permanent Residency.
- National Police Clearance.
- Up-to-date vaccinations
- A valid driver licence and able to drive.

**Desirable**
- Able to communicate in either Mandarin or Cantonese.
- Experience working in a community-based setting
- Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse populations
- Holding any trade qualifications
- Experience in using Centrim Life system
