**How will I help?**
KYC Services is part of Institutional Banking Services under the Chief Operating Office division.
Reporting into the Associate Director KYC Services, we have an incredible opportunity for two KYC Associates to join the team. The KYC Services Team plays a critical role in ensuring as an organisation, we are compliant with multiple regulations, to protect the Bank's reputation and financial assets.
The KYC Services Team operates in close partnership with Relationship Managers, Operations, Credit, Legal & Compliance to provide efficient and timely onboarding of both new and existing client relationships to Westpac. The KYC Services Team is responsible for managing the Front Office relationship for business requests in onboarding & Remediation. The Associate’s will be required to manage the end-to-end client onboarding process, ensuring all due diligence documentation is sourced and to complete the E2E client onboarding. You will be the primary point of contact for Relationship Managers and Clients to coordinate client onboarding and work closely with the Relationship Managers and clients to obtain all necessary supporting evidence to fulfil KYC due diligence. You will act as an SME and Due Diligence expert to guide clients through the KYC & Regulatory requirements and variation of documents which may fulfil due diligence requirements.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Liaise regularly with Business stakeholders to conduct workload planning, review status of key onboardings/mandates and prioritise open requests. Provide transparency on overall process and progress.
- Frequently interact with key stakeholders such as Front Office, Financial Crime Compliance, Legal, Compliance, Credit, and Operations to develop strong partnerships, eliminate roadblocks and ensure continuity of information flow across the groups.
- Manage personal workload and priority items and ensure timely escalation of key risks/ issues to management.
- Accountability to understand the risk environment in which you operate and ask questions where necessary
- Identify and execute strategic process improvements, provide guidance and support on key process and technology initiatives.
- Manage the close interaction between the Operations teams to ensure seamless communication and consistency
- Identify opportunities to improve risk mitigation by tightening controls and/or procedures

**What do I need?**
To be successful in this role you will have good working knowledge of Fund Onboarding / KYC/ Compliance/ AML procedures and standards and knowledge of the financial industry with in-depth expertise in various lines of business and products (Institutional Banking). You will have prior experience of adhering to controls and compliance standards with the ability to drive to take full ownership of processes. You will have knowledge of multiple client types (i.e. Corporates, Correspondent Banks, NBFIs, Trusts, SPVs, Funds, Partnerships and have proven project management skills. Other key requirements include:
