The Bearded Tit is a bar and creative space in Redfern, and we are on the hunt for a Manager to join the Tit family and lead our team.

We are looking for someone with a solid background in hospitality management with proven success in running all aspects of a venue. Being a smaller venue, you will need to be an all rounder, and be just as comfortable making drinks behind the bar as you are managing stock, rostering or developing the cocktail menu.

ABOUT US

Since opening in 2014, The Bearded Tit has amassed a loyal following of drinkers and creative makers. We are a neighbourhood bar and creative space with a focus on community, queer culture, visual and performance art. We want to offer a welcoming and relaxed environment where people can enjoy a drink in the setting of a small bar, and experience performances and events outside of traditional gallery spaces and nightclubs.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a leader who has:

- Minimum 2 years experience in venue and bar management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in training, nurturing and developing a bar team, with an understanding on how to manage different personalities in order to bring out the best in them
- Can work independently to a high standard and problem solve
- Experience in managing all aspects of venue operations such as budgets, stock control, rostering, POS and menu costings
- Take pride in perfecting details and inspire others to do the same
- Be passionate about relationship building with customers, suppliers and all stake holders
- Be motivated to regularly review and refine systems and procedures to maximise efficiencies without sacrificing overall customer experience
- Advanced RSA

The Manager will work closely with the owner to develop the evolving business with weekly meetings and bi-annual performance reviews. We are a dynamic workplace with high expectations of ourselves and each other. **Salary**: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift

**Experience**:

- Bar management: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Advance RSA (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Shift availability:
