**The role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic **Social Media Coordinator** to join the Marketing, Digital and Engagement team at Make-A-Wish Australia.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing social media content, campaigns, strategies, and best practices across Make-A-Wish’s social channels.

The role is focused on supporting the growth of our brand and reputation amongst our existing community, as well as on the engagement of new supporters.

The Social Media Coordinator will work collaboratively with our fundraising, volunteer programs and wish teams to support business objectives.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Create engaging, creative and on-brand content and copy, ensuring all content showcases the distinctiveness of the Make-A-Wish brand in the marketplace.
- In collaboration with the Marketing & Communications Manager, create and implement the social media strategy, in line with strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with teams across Make-A-Wish to create a social media calendar that supports brand, campaign and partner objectives.
- Provide regular reporting on channel performance and audience insights, including recommendations on content and strategies for future campaigns.
- Support with volunteer communications to ensure Make-A-Wish Communication Coordinators have the resources, guidance and content to support with building their online presence.
- Ensure 100% consistency of the Make-A-Wish brand across all touchpoints and channels.
- Proactively share best practice and results across the organisation.
- Establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and support other marketing activity and initiatives as and when required.
- Timely community management with our online audience, including responding to messages, comments and interacting with our community.

**Skills and Experience**:
In order to be successful in this role, you will be a results orientated social media whiz who possesses the following:

- A love for all things social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools
- A relevant Marketing. Communication or Digital Marketing tertiary qualification and minimum 2 year industry experience
- Hands-on experience managing social media channels and building a brand
- A passion for, and strong knowledge of, social media content trends, functionality and features
- A can-do and positive attitude
- A good understanding of how marketing channels work together to tell impactful stories. engage audiences and drive strategic outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills especially in copywriting and storytelling formats
- A self-driven, highly motivated attitude with a demonstrated track record of taking initiative to seek new and unique ways of reaching broader audiences.
- The ability to bring a persuasive and collaborative style to all projects
- A creative and innovative approach to work
- Highly organised and detail orientated with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- You will be a go-getter who is ready to hit the ground running and utilise your talents to take Make-A-Wish’s social media channels to the next level
