About the Role
Abstract and correctly assign ICD-10-AM clinical codes using the 3M Encoder software to all inpatient hospital discharges according to the Australian Coding Standards published by the National Centre for Classification in Health within specified timeframes, to meet Hospital Queensland Health deadlines.
Ability to provide a higher level of coding accuracy and timeliness of coded data.
Assist in mentoring less experienced coders.
Data entry of all coded morbidity data into HBCIS and the registration of all relevant malignant neoplasms and other conditions as required by the Queensland Cancer Registry.
