Looking for an experienced Environmental Manager with a strength in documentation writing for successful construction company.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Managing the program of Environmental Assessments documentation to support construction and maintenance works.
- Writing Environmental Assessment documentation, such as Review of Environmental Factors, for projects.
- Identifying opportunities for systemic improvement in the Environmental Management System.
- Conducting inspections to ensure environmental controls are in place for construction works.
- Raising and managing non conformances where required.
- Carrying out incident investigations where required.
- Ensuring Group legislative requirements or compliance-related business risks are identified.
- Reviewing and helping improve the Environment, Health and Safety governance structure.
- Mentoring Environmental Advisors to understand legislation, construction protocols, and documentation.
- Monitoring compliance audits against the Group Environment, Health & Safety Management System requirements.
- Preparing monthly Environment reports.

- Providing leadership to ensure the highest standard of safety is maintained for all individuals at all times.
- Ensuring all safety processes and procedures are adhered to.

The desired qualifications and experience for this role include:
Qualifications:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Environmental Management.
- Lead Auditor in Environmental Management Systems (highly desirable).

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a role working on Environmental Assessments, including development of Review of Environmental Factors.
- Working understanding of ISO14001 and its requirements (desirable).
- Proven experience mentoring Environmental Advisors in Environmental Assessments.
- Experience and/or knowledge of the civil construction projects industry (essential).
- Understanding of relevant environmental legislation related to construction (essential).

In terms of technical skills and personal attributes:
Technical:

- Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues and guide and coach others in problem resolution.
- Collaboration and communication skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
- Competency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Strong report writing skills (highly desirable).
- Understanding of project drawings and construction specifications (desirable).
