**Your key responsibilities**:

- Undertake research and prepare advice to assist and support the Executive Team and senior management on a range of complex policy issues and initiatives related to Queensland's National Injury Insurance Scheme and Agency, and personal injury insurance.
- Support the progress of policy initiatives through the NIISQ Agency effectively, ensuring compliance with all governance frameworks and government requirements.
- Maintain contemporaneous knowledge of government reforms, initiatives and other significant developments in disability, social insurance law, and personal injury law both within Queensland, other states and at a Commonwealth level. Provide advice that furthers the objective to eliminate all forms of unlawful discrimination and restrictive practices.
- Design/review external policies, guidelines, standards which form the operational policy framework for NIISQ administrative decision making.
- Participate in multi-agency/disciplinary teams tasked with progressing, implementing and evaluating projects and significant policy initiatives.
- Build and sustain positive and productive relationships with team members as well as a wide range of stakeholders, being responsive to their needs while managing expectations, and approaching consultation and negotiations with a strong grasp of key issues.
- Represent the NIISQ Agency as required at intergovernmental and industry forums and on working parties concerning policy issues of strategic importance to the Scheme.
- Actively engage with and support the People, Policy and Communications team members and be a part of a positive culture.
- Prepare correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, publications and web content within tight timeframes and assist with other tasks/projects are required.
