Government agency looking for a Principal Contracts Manager to assist with the portfolio of contracts.

**Your new company**
Our client is a Queensland government agency based in Brisbane that provides a multitude of products and services to deliver strategic project plans in the area of transport and roads. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to a Principal Contract Manager to their program delivery team to assist with contracts and deeds managed by the department.

**Your new role**
As the Principal Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for leading negotiations and creating processes and procedures for contract management government for the department. This includes contract administration support to ensure all contracts and deed terms are met, as well as managing the portfolio of contracts for the management of third-party assets. Additionally, you will assist in the development of policies and strategies supporting the Department’s key priorities and arrange native title evaluations using specialist advice.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of contracts and project procurement options within the construction and project management space. Therefore, you will ideally come from a project management background, with a relevant discipline in contract management, commerce, law, business or procurement. You will also have an understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks and government policies applicable to government procurement of building projects in Queensland. Given this role includes tender and documentation, a solid understanding of Microsoft Office programs is essential.

**What you'll get in return**
You will be offered an immediate start in an initial 3 month contracted role within a government agency with the possibility of extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position based in Brisbane CBD, paying a PO5 rate + super. You may also have the potential opportunity to work from home.
