AGL Bayswater is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Administrator. As the HSE Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Health and Safety and Environment teams, ensuring the smooth operation of HSE processes, projects, and initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about promoting a safe and healthy work environment and has a strong administrative background.
Key Purpose of the Role and Team:
Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Lead and indirectly to the Senior Advisor Environment, the HSE Administrator will provide comprehensive support to both the Health and Safety and Environment teams. The primary focus will be on supporting the implementation of our HSE strategy, continuous improvement initiatives, and overall performance of the HSE team as a high-performing unit.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist in managing reporting, investigations, and presentations.- Monitor HSE action tracking systems and ensure timely closure of actions.- Facilitate the onboarding of new HSE team members.- Respond promptly and comprehensively to inquiries and correspondence.- Provide advice and assistance to leaders and employees on HSE policies, processes, and systems.- Contribute to HSE programs and initiatives by generating reports, writing minutes, developing program reporting, and supporting the Leadership Team in implementing the HSE strategy and priorities.- Promote HSE activities, coordinate training sessions, and participate in workshops and meetings.- Drive HSE communications by channeling regular communications across the business, preparing HSE briefs and lessons learned, writing toolbox talks, and updating the HSE intranet.- Administration support by coordinating calendars and meetings, facilitating HSE communications, and assisting with the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation.
Qualifications, Key Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum of four years of experience in an Administrator or similar role, preferably in HSE.- Heavy industry / Government / Tertiary experience is desirable.- Tertiary qualification in Health, Safety, Environment, or a related business discipline is desirable but not essential.- Demonstrated ability to handle queries and prioritize tasks in alignment with broader business priorities.- Resilient and adaptable to change.- Passion for HSE and a willingness to learn.- Proven ability to build relationships and establish credibility across the organization.
