**About the Role**:
Accountabilities include:

- Manage Contractor performance to mitigate risk and to enhance efficiency, drive optimisation, and maximise value.
- Ensure Contractor conformance with the BHP Charter, Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
- Conduct verification activities with Contractor and Contract Owners including routine assurance and field leadership safety interactions.
- Conduct risk assessment activities including CRAW and WRAC, drive hazard reporting and create a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Maintain effective governance of the portfolio, ensuring a productive output and strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Monitor Contractor performance in line with contractual obligations, including key performance indicators and Standards and Procedures.
- Escalate contractual issues to relevant stakeholders and coordinate the resolution process including the facilitation and resolution of issues arising from performance disputes, non-conformances, events, quality issues or claims.
- Verify compliance with ‘Our Requirements for Contractor Management’ through regular audits.
- Conduct supplier relationship management activities, including monthly and quarterly contract review meetings.

**Location**:
You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi-award-winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.

In this permanent full-time role, you will be working Monday - Friday and offers flexible work arrangements. Occasional site travel is required as necessary.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated work experience with HSE management, OHS and WHS.
- Tertiary qualification in HSE, Engineering or Law, or similar experience within the mineral resources industry (preferred).
- Working knowledge of injury management and Return to Work requirements (Highly regarded).
- Training in ICAM investigation (Advantageous).
- Exceptional engagement and collaboration skills in managing stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational management skills.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite of products.
- An overriding commitment to and passion for health, safety, environment and sustainable development.
- Mining experience is not required.
