**Specific responsibilities and capabilities**:
**Executive Level 1**
**Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and influencing improvements to relevant departmental systems,
frameworks and processes
- Integrating departmental frameworks to assurance, project and program
management into the Division
- Building and promoting efficient and effective project planning and reporting
processes and enabling guidance and tools
- Engaging with sections across the Division to plan and report on their key
priorities
- Coordinating and analysing project and program reporting for internal and
external audiences
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the branch and Division and a
collaborative and positive working environment.
**(Administration)
- Drafting a range of complex documents such as policy advice, reports, agenda
papers and briefs for a broad range of audiences;
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and high level management
of projects involving organisations, other government agencies and expert
advisory groups;
- Actively contributing to the development of systems, procedures and controls to
enhance the accuracy, timeliness and presentation of workflow within the group;
- Providing high level advice regarding accommodation and supporting
documentation;
- Managing the delivery of the filing and records management functions in
accordance with departmental policy;
- Delegating correspondence as appropriate within the division to ensure timely
and effective business operations;
- Managing divisional administrative tasks (eg recruitment, property and
accommodation)

- You should have expertise across a broad range of activities including the ability
to provide excellent policy and strategic advice.
- The ability to draft a range of complex documents i.e. reports, agenda papers and
briefs.
- You will be able to determine the strategic direction for the work area whilst
looking to identify and lead innovative solutions and improvements.

- Managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of high profile
national health policies, legislation, programs and projects and related grant
opportunities;
- Providing detailed, professional advice on policy and/or program development
and policy and/or program issues;
- Managing relationships with internal stakeholders
- Drafting complex documents such as policy advice, reports, briefs, agenda papers
- and correspondence for a broad range of audiences;- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and high level management
of projects involving organisations, other government agencies and expert
advisory groups;
- Conducting sound analysis, interpretation and evaluation of information/data
from various sources to inform future policy/program direction;
- Actively contributing to the development of appropriate systems, procedures
and controls to enhance the accuracy, timeliness and presentation of workflow
within the group;
- Managing the delivery of the filing and records management functions in
accordance with departmental policy;
- Managing a team to achieve results;
- Positively shaping branch and divisional culture and activities.
