**About the Role**
The Corporate Records Officer will supervise and coordinate the day-to-day provision of records management, as well as system administration, maintenance and user support of the records management system.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to the development of records and information management strategies and architecture appropriate to the needs of the department
- Work in the delivery and support of the corporate records management framework, structures, and processes
- Provide ongoing education, build organisational capacity, and staff capability in record management practices and record software systems including the support and delivery of training programs
- Provide records management advice including reliable and authoritative interpretation of NSW Government mandated records management practices, policies, and procedures.
- Provide first level support of Records Management software enquiries and issues
- Develop and manage the Corporate Records intranet page for the department
- Support business units in the analysis of business processes relating to records and the development of policy, standards and solutions that meet business needs.
- Support the corporate mail and distribution function to disseminate and undertake routine administrative maintenance and support
**About you**
- Qualification and/or experience in records management or related discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using corporate records management systems, including the setting of retention schedules, security and classification schemes
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of the requirements of the State Records Act and NSW Government requirements and guidance for records management practices
- Demonstrated ability to deliver staff training
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team to coordinate corporate record sentencing and archiving activities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to understand how business process changes affect all stakeholders
- Well-developed interpersonal and organisation skills with the ability to resolve issues with a diverse range of people
- Proven ability to contribute to the development and documentation of policies, operational procedures and processes, software user guides and training material for corporate records management
