**About the Finance Department**
The Finance Department provides services covering FP&A, incorporating budgeting and financial analysis, Financial Accounting, incorporating Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (patient billing and sundry debtors); Private Practice administration, Cash Management and Investments.
**About the role**
The position, reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor will include day to day accounts payables activities such as processing invoices, ensuring they adhere to Austin Health policies and procedures; being the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholder relating to supplier payments; performing vendor account reconciliations, including investigation and following up discrepancies.
A regular day will see you:
- Processing invoices, ensuring accuracy and reporting any discrepancies
- Responding to internal and external enquires
- Communicating and co-ordinating with procurement or receiving departments to resolve issues
**About you**
As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- Demonstrated 2 years+ experience working with high volume invoices
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Sound analytical skills, ability to interpret data and problem solve
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, multitask and meet to strict deadlines
