**About the role**

As a Support Worker at Activ, you will join the East Metro team Accommodation and Community Services. We have positions to suit your work-life balance, from permanent part-time and overnight (sleep) positions.

**A typical day in the role may look like **
- Supporting our customers to meet their personal goals, either in the workplace, community, or home
- Supporting our customers with daily activities in the community
- assisting with appointments and administering medication, or
- offering support in one of our houses
- This may involve staying overnight to provide support as required.
- Availability to work the required roster pattern
- Experience working with challenging behaviours and elderly customers
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Passion for providing service and assistance and helping others live their best lives
- Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration
- Willingness to assist with personal care (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)
- Proven administration and computer literacy skills
- Cert III in Disability or Individual Support, or willingness to work towards one
- A valid drivers licence (international or minimum of Red P’s) and a willingness to use your private vehicle (with rebates available
