**Payroll Officer - Media - CBD**

**Company Background**

Our client has been a leader in the media content, events & entertainment industry for over 50 years. They are an iconic brand that have a fantastic reputation.

They have been agile in an ever-changing and competitive market. Currently, they are in a large acquisition phase globally.

The team is friendly, warm and welcoming and there is plenty of opportunity to progress for the ambitious.

They have amazing offices in the CBD but you can work from home 1 day a week if you prefer.

**The Role**

This is a broad role supporting a Senior Payroll Officer. You would be responsible for:

- Collecting vendor forms and other supporting documents from Casual Employees (around 50 headcount)
- Checking document correctness and sending files to payment processor
- Cooperation with Data Collection Manager and Regional Coordinator on seamless onboarding of new CE
- Confirming with payment processor that vendors are created correctly and engaging with both sites
- Preparing employee payment files (hour rates/service fees, bonuses, travel expenses)
- Keeping track of payment deadlines & scheduling additional payment runs if necessary
- Supporting with the other payment processes for the APAC region
- Creation of accounts and confirming of provided bank account details in accordance with the company's procedures

**Your Background**

If you want to be considered for this great role in a vibrant company you will:

- Have at least 2 years of full-function payroll experience. This could be as a payroll officer or as part of another role like an Assistant Accountant.
- Have a positive attitude and be a great team player
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to answer correspondence across the business.
- If you have an interest in fashion, sports and/or entertainment that will also be highly regarded
