**About the role**

Join Mater Group as the Manager - Strategic Sourcing in a permanent full-time capacity and deliver exceptional value to our stakeholders. Leverage your commercial expertise to provide expert procurement advice and support. Contribute to category vision and execute innovative sourcing strategies as well as planning and managing high-value sourcing events.

**Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and**access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900** +**access to many staff benefits

**What you’ll be doing**

**These accountabilities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Define and execute sourcing strategies, including supplier panel management and optimisation
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, acting as an escalation point for risks and issues
- Develop category, product and supplier knowledge to inform strategies and negotiations
- Stay informed about market trends and industry developments for effective sourcing approaches
- Lead end-to-end tendering processes, ensuring compliance and providing guidance on probity
- Negotiate and implement contracts with performance incentives for effective contract management
- Ensure adherence to procurement processes and contribute to policy development
- Share knowledge and best practices, fostering statewide benefit from procurement initiatives

**About you**
- Relevant procurement or business qualification or certification, highly desired
- Extensive procurement experience in a large and diverse organisation
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in commercial and contract negotiations, and contract and supplier management
- Experience in implementing contract and supplier management strategies and techniques
- Proven ability to develop and promote procurement initiatives, manage change, and improve performance
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams and fostering employee development
- Knowledge and experience with e-procurement systems, including data analysis capabilities
