We are on the hunt for an Accounts Payable and Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team based in Sydney, NSW. This person will play a crucial role in financial operations by conducting bank reconciliations, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting regulations, facilitating proper onboarding of new vendors, managing stakeholder relations, payment and invoice processing and general administrative support.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Weekly reconciliation of bank transactions, upload bank statements to the ERP system plus investigating differences and discrepancies in a timely manner
- Onboarding of new vendors ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations
- Address inquiries from internal and external stakeholders promptly and professionally
- Invoice and payment processing
- Provide support during the month-end process by assisting in reconciliations and other month-end activities and resolve discrepancies

**About you**:

- 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role
- Experience using Xero or similar ERP
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations
