Collar Group offers unrivaled recruitment expertise across Australia. We are hiring a passionate, fun, and driven Accounts Payable officer to join our Sydney CBD team. Building strong relationships within the team and wider organisation is something you pride yourself in. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable items adhering to our Policies and Procedures.

Working as an Accounts Payable officer for our thriving recruitment business, your typical day will include:

- Checking and verifying vendor invoices
- Matching invoices with purchase orders (if applicable)
- Input and coding invoices/ bills into Xero
- Processing pay runs on a weekly and ad hoc basis
- Updating and maintaining the vendor database
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Management of payables queries via Outlook
- Aged Payables and other ad-hoc reporting where applicable
- Identifying improvements to the accounts payable process
- Other ad-hoc finance tasks as required

**You will need**:

- Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable role (within a Recruitment agency is highly advantageous).
- Previous experience using Xero
- Intermediate/ Advanced skill set in Microsoft 365 programs (Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage financial records
- A sound understanding of financial principles
- Ability to prioritise and multitask
- High level or accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and work to deadlines.
- The ability to build sound professional relationships and communicate effectively, both internally and externally
