**The Role**: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Accountant to manage our financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions crucial to the smooth operation and financial health of Fairfield Auto Parts.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment runs.
- Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses and revenues.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records, ensuring compliance with tax and superannuation requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e.g., AASB, IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
