**About the role**

The **Learning and Development Manager **role at Activ reports to the **Head of Culture and Organisational Development**. This position requires communication with personnel across all levels of the organisation and will work closely with Activ Pathways (Registered Training Organisation) to design and deliver fit-for-purpose and sector-leading outcomes.

Leading Activ's L&D strategy, the Learning and Development Manager assists the Head of Culture and Organisational Development in developing, implementing, and evaluating fit-for-purpose organization-wide solutions that embed learning to build capability, support talent, performance, and engagement, and facilitate strategy delivery.

**A typical day in the role may look like **
- Acting as a key point of contact for and working closely with the organisation on their training and learning needs, including completing learning needs analyses as required
- Designing and implementing a leadership development framework that will develop and maintain the leadership capabilities at all levels of the business
- Partnering with senior management to assess team capability and assisting in developing differentiated development plans to ensure succession planning and talent management are proactively managed with measurable results
- Facilitating and delivering training programs as required
- Using instructional design methodologies to create learning programs, workshop materials and other documentation that support adult learning principles and business initiatives
- An inclusive communication style that engages staff across various levels of the organisation.
- Collaborative approach to working across teams to build behaviours and deliver on organisational outcomes.
- A demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn and share knowledge while constructively challenging at any level of the organisation to achieve outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in developing organisation wide Learning & Development strategies and implementing learning technologies
- Understanding of community and social issues related to disability service provision
- Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and analyse statistical data
- Development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Education or another related discipline
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
- Accreditation in Human Synergistics products (desirable, not essential)
- Current ‘C’ Class driver’s licence
- National Police Clearance and/or NDIS worker screening check.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
