**About the Role**

The Incident Response Services team provides on road, effective management for traffic incidents, accidents, spillages and any emergency that effects the flow of traffic on metropolitan freeways and arterial roads.

**Position Outcomes**
- Provide incident response services on freeways and arterial roads
- Provide traffic management on freeways and arterial roads
- Identify incidents which have the potential to cause serious traffic or safety issues
- Provide regular status information to the Traffic Management Centre during incidents
- Represent Department of Transport& Planning as the Traffic Commander when hand over is required on site from Victoria Police
- Arrange for the provision of appropriate resources to manage the incident.
- Liaise with other agencies and resources to optimise outcomes and minimise community impactsfor incidents
- Ensure that any follow up actions are completed
- Participate in internal briefings
- Act as daily coordinator for the Incident Response Service

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Mandatory**
- Level 2 First Aid certificate

**Desirable**
- Driver’s License
- Roaster/Shift work is required
- Involve evening or weekend work including
- You may be required to undertake a medical and other safety compliance requirement
