Its job is to provide safe, secure and reliable namespace for more than 20 million Australian internet users.
They are a community-based not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee. It is endorsed by the Australian Government and has an agreement with the global Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to manage the.au ccTLD.
**About the role**
Reporting to the Information Security Officer, this role will be responsible for maintaining the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) suite of documents and assisting in planning and execution of business continuity and disaster recovery exercises. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills to ensure timely and effective response to incidents that may impact the organization's operations.
**Day to Day**:
Manage and maintain the BCMS suite of documents including the Business Continuity Plan (BCP), Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), Incident Response Plan (IRP), and other relevant policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the BCMS is updated and reflects the current organizational structure, business processes and risk profile.
Develop, plan and execute tabletop exercises and full-scale simulations to test the effectiveness of the BCMS, including the BCP, DRP, IRP and awareness workshops.
Coordinate with IT to ensure alignment of the IT Disaster Recovery Plan with the overall BCMS.
Act as the primary point of contact for incident response activities, including assessing the severity of the incident, initiating the BCMS response plan, and coordinating the activities of the incident response team, Documenting and managing improvement initiatives.
Perform BIA assessments, Vendor reviews and upkeep of the GRC management tool.
**Must Haves**:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or incident response management.
Proven knowledge and experience in successfully implementing IT security initiatives, including experience in undertaking security risk analysis of critical IT systems and infrastructure
Strong project management skills with experience in developing and executing tabletop exercises and full-scale simulations.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements such as ISO27001, ISO 22301, ISO 22361, NIST, and SOCI.
Experience in undertaking risk assessments and Internal audits
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
