**About the Role**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource and Placement Officer to join our team at Ferguson Education and Migration. This could be the career and lifestyle opportunity you are looking for.
This role is divided into two aspects of HR.
One will be working as an HR Officer for Ferguson Education Group that involves looking after the recruitment process for the company (including preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions on relevant platforms, looking after interview process and finalizing offer letters). You will also be involved in the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees as well.
The second aspect of the role will be working as a placement assistance officer for our international students that are coming in. You will be in touch with recruitment agencies to partner up with them to provide job opportunities to our students. You will also be assisting the students with online workshops to give them tips and tricks regarding their CV and interviews.
**Key Responsibilities**
You will be able to showcase your skill sets in this role that will challenge you and grow your potential through:
- Providing expert advice and professional guidance on staffing and company issues including interpretation of legislation awards and other employment queries.
- Managing disputes, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
- Overseeing end-to-end employee life cycle processes.
- Supporting managers with performance development planning.
- Assisting the management with all aspects of recruitment and selection of employees.
- Reporting on key HR metrics to support the business in achievement of KPIs and operational requirements.
- Excellent people skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication with a high level of attention to detail.
- Managing multiple tasks and to work to deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Ensuring the right HR frameworks/processes/outcome measures are in place for the operation.
- Implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law.
- Providing advice and support to employees on HR-related issues, including employee relations and performance management.
- Maintain and update HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Managing HR projects and initiatives as directed by the Operations and General Manager.
- Ensuring that we maintain good relationships with various recruitment companies.
- Assisting our students with resume checks, guiding and training them on how to answer questions during job interviews.
**Experience**:
- 2+ year experience
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Resilient nature, openness for change and demonstrated ability to drive best practice.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines & plan ahead.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Can work autonomously but also thrive in a team environment.
- Positive attitude and a team player with an energetic and collaborative personality.
- Achievement-oriented and customer service-oriented.
- High level of solution-based skills.
- Ability to achieve organisational goals and meet KPIs in a timely manner.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $71,000.00 per year
