**About the opportunity**
Our small and highly effective Governance team are seeking an experienced Governance Manager to join our Governance team.
The role works collaboratively in leading an established team to accommodate a parental leave backfill, in the delivery of governance requirements for Y Victoria and our subsidiary entities.
Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- The first point of contact and support for our Board Directors;
- Planning and preparing meetings and governance activity & processes in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
- Guiding and supporting the team and stakeholders through this process.
- Minuting Board and sub-committee meetings and event facilitation.
An understanding of and experience with company secretarial duties is a highly desirable.
This is a 12-month max term opportunity which can be completed on a full time or near full time basis. You'll work from home and occasionally from our Box Hill offices or other locations.

You excel at communicating and can astutely navigate stakeholder engagement, especially with our diverse array of volunteer Directors ranging from young people taking up Board positions for the first time to experienced professionals and NFP experts.
In addition, you'll bring experience and aptitude to:
- Lead and engage small teams to consistently deliver to high standards;
- Engage comfortably with a range of senior internal and external stakeholders; and,
- Manage established Board governance functions including record-keeping and supporting systems.
Experience with governance functions, within an executive and board capacity, in addition to the legislative landscape - will be highly regarded.
