**The Role**

The Engineering Manager will assist the Group Managing Director in the development and management of CHL International’s (CHLI) services, growth and development in Australia, Timor Leste (TL) and Papua New Guinea (PNG). Liaising with stakeholders in order to promote CHL within Australia, TL, and PNG, establishing networks and forming partnerships to assist with development of housing, construction and business material development.

**About You**

You will have significant management experience in an international context with established networks in Australia, TL, PNG or, ideally, all countries. You will be experienced with the development of housing, construction and business development activities. You will need to be able to make decisions whilst understanding the risks and mitigating those to the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in leadership, project management and delivery to meet time, budget and quality outcomes. And it is expected that you use your connections with government to promote CHL as a partner in providing housing solutions, construction and business material development. You will have a commitment to the right of every person to good quality housing.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and management.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare contract documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
- Significant management experience in an international context.
- Fluency in English and Tetum or Tok Pisin.
- Established networks in Timor Leste and Australia.
- Commitment to the right of every person to good quality housing.
- Current drivers’ licence.

**Desirable**:

- Established networks in Papua New Guinea.
