Finance Officer role available with leading Government department, attractive rate on offer
**Your new company**
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to join this leading QLD Government department. Based in Brisbane CBD, this temporary role will commence ASAP for approximately 12-months.
**Your new role**
Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, you will perform a wide variety of duties. You will be responsible for the following:
- Accounts Payable processing
- Collection of overdue accounts
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Accruals and prepayments
- General ledger reconciliations
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
- Previous experience working in a Finance Officer or Assistant Accountant
- Exceptional communication skills coupled with strong rapport building skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Available to commence on short notice
