Procurement Officer (A04 Level)
Location: Cannon Hill, Brisbane
Employment Type: Full-Time |Contract

We're seeking an experienced A04 Procurement Officer to support a high-performing Strategic Sourcing team within QLD Government. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborative teamwork, and is passionate about delivering efficient purchasing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake operational purchasing tasks including ordering goods and services, processing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with relevant procurement policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the Strategic Sourcing team, including document reviews, inbox management, and meeting coordination.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Standing Offer Agreements and other key contracts.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to internal stakeholders and suppliers, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Review and action procurement-related reports such as outstanding purchase orders and basket of goods.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong workload management and critical thinking skills.
  • Procurement Level 1 accreditation or equivalent experience.

Highly Desirable:

  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
  • Procurement Level 2+ accreditation.
  • Formal qualifications in procurement, purchasing, or contract management (e.g., QGP, CIPS, or similar).
