As a Structures Engineering Manager your primary objective will be to provide leadership and guidance on bridge and highway structures engineering. This will be predominantly in the area of lifecycle asset management, with a view to enhance the capability of the Department to deliver and maintain the road transport system across the state of Queensland.
**Your responsibilities will include**: - Managing a small team of Structural and Civil Engineers
- Providing technical support, guidance and approval for maintenance, rehabilitation and strengthening concept designs. Ownership of the Structures Inspection Manual and Heavy Load Assessment Criteria. Contributing to and implementing continual improvement in the area of bridge inspections, assessment and whole of life asset management. Responsible for managing information systems relating to structures data and reporting. Reporting regular progress to the Director of Structures (Operations & Management).
**To be successful in the role, you will possess**: - A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia
- Experience of leading teams and delivering projects is desirable.
This role is offered as a PO6 and may attract an attraction and retention incentive of up to 20% of superannuable salary. This is a permanent, fulltime position based in Brisbane, Queensland with flexible working arrangements on offer.
