Our Styletread team is growing, which has created an exciting opportunity for a Buyers Assistant to join our Merchandising team working with the Styletread, direct to consumer team. **More About The Role**:
Working closely with the buying team, you will support the Senior Buyers in their day-to-day administrative tasks and assist with any functions designated to a Buyer. This is an amazing opportunity to join a fast-paced buying team and learn while you work with leaders in their field.
What your day will look like;
Working in a creative environment, surrounded by gorgeous shoes sounds like fun, right? Well, it most certainly is, but there is a lot that happens behind the scenes. In this role you will use your admin & excel skills and will need strong communication skills.
- Assist the Senior Buyer with support across all administrative duties.
- Registering, attributing, and barcoding items
- Owning the maintenance of range plans
- The day-to-day management of product, pricing, delivery, and invoicing queries
- Review of EDM and marketing content
- The management of Samples
- The management of images and copy on Websites

More about You
We are looking for a self-starter with previous experience in an administrative role, and above all exceptional communication and written skills. This is an entry level position where you have the opportunity to establish a rewarding career as a Buyers Assistant.
- You will have proven organisational skills with the analytical ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and prioritise effectively
- You will have previous clerical or admin experience
- You will have experience working with a large volume of internal and external stakeholders with a confident approach to communicating clearly and effectively in both written and verbal
- Experience using a CMS such as Retek or ERP system such as M3, an advantage
- Previous experience working in a retail environment, footwear specific experience, an advantage
- Ideally have Tertiary qualifications in Merchandise, Fashion, Business or a similar field
- Demonstrated knowledge surrounding general retail, supply chain, and Inventory/Stock Management.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong customer focus
- A commercial sales and product-focused mentality
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects and able to multi-task while meeting deadlines; Strong stakeholder management capability with the ability to work collaboratively with and influence diverse groups of people; and
- Intermediate
- advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
