**Opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join Australia’s largest meat and food processing company.**

**Who will you be working with?**
You will be working with a global FMCG company. This is a great opportunity to work with one of Australia’s most diverse and experienced food manufacturing organisations - meat and food processing and also own Australia’s largest smallgoods manufacturer.

As **Maintenance Officer** - Fitter** working within an experienced Maintenance team performing repairs and preventative maintenance to packaging lines to ensure the efficient running of production. Also perform tasks relating to continuous improvement projects.

**What will you be doing?**
- Undertake servicing and preventative maintenance of all machinery, plant and equipment.
- Assist other trades in the form of general repair maintenance or installation of machinery.
- Diagnose functioning equipment using test equipment and tools to locate the cause of the fault.
- Inspect plant, equipment and machinery to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustments or repairs, ensuring compliance codes are adhered to.
- Provide advice and guidance to the business on whether machinery is fit for use.
- Attend to and contribute towards operational and team meetings.
- Complete research and requests for parts replacement and ordering for factory machinery.

**What do you need?**- Relevant industry tertiary qualifications
- Ability to trouble shoot and work proactively as part of a team
- Proven experience in reactive and preventative maintenance
- Sound experience in fault finding and fast breakdown response
- Ability to work flexible hours
- **Highly regarded but not essential**:

- Hydraulics/Pneumatic qualifications
- Fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, STICK)
- Restricted electrical disconnect/reconnect licence
- Working at heights licence
- Experience in a food produce environment or similar
