Full Time Opportunity for Maintenance Fitter

Unipod is a leading manufacturer of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Materials, proudly supplying Melbourne's most reputable Civil Construction and Building companies. As our business continues to grow, we're seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Fitter – Mechanical/Electrical (or Technical Hand with relevant experience) to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Fitter, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery through both preventative and scheduled maintenance. This is a hands-on, full-time role with diverse responsibilities and long-term career prospects.

Your duties will include:

  • Performing preventative, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance
  • Conducting stock takes and recording maintenance programs/spare parts
  • Following plant maintenance schedules and documentation
  • Liaising with international machinery suppliers and sourcing parts
  • Providing technical advice to stakeholders
  • Supporting installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of machinery
  • Developing and submitting maintenance strategies and plans
  • Leading improvement initiatives and troubleshooting issues

What We're Looking For

Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years in manufacturing
  • 3+ years in a similar Maintenance Fitter role
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance software
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of environmental and risk assessment

Bonus:

  • Knowledge of the EPS industry
