The Department

SBS Sport delivers distinctive and inclusive sports content that captivates diverse audiences. From underrepresented sports to the biggest events on the planet, such as the FIFA World Cup and the Tour de France, SBS Sport celebrates the power of sport to connect and inspire communities.

The Role

As SBS Sport’s streaming content continues to grow, not just in terms of audience engagement but also the volume of our content catalogue, there is an ongoing need for creating and managing the program metadata and associated media assets for digital and VOD content.

The Sport Media Coordinator plays a key role in managing the life cycle of Sport content, from delivery through to the consumption on Sports platforms with correct metadata and componentry information. The role will work cross-functionally with editorial, operations and technology teams to ensure all components for scheduled content (digital and linear) have been confirmed and completed before they ‘go live’.

Key responsibilities include:

- Oversee the curation and management of all Sport online content, ensuring seamless audience access by managing workflows and metadata in MPX, IBMS, and the SBS On Demand CMS.
- Coordinate the scheduling, configuration, and delivery of Sports content across linear, digital, and social platforms, including live video feeds, while liaising with external providers to manage and communicate video feed delivery. Address and resolve workflow gaps or discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate digital metadata to support best practices in audience reporting, rights compliance, and maximizing rights catalogue value, engagement, and revenue.
- Drive workflow improvements to streamline operations, enhance programming accuracy, and optimize ratings analysis. Provide digital audience data for Sports content as needed (OD, web, and social).

About you

We are looking for someone who brings:

- 2+ years’ experience in an operations or facilities role within a broadcast environment.
- Experience with rights and media management systems IBMS, MPX & other video content management systems is highly desirable.
- A strong eye for detail is essential.
- Solid written & verbal communication skills (Word, excel, etc)
