**About the role**:
The purpose of this role is to drive continuous improvement and implementation of the Health Safety and Environment (HSE) management system so that it meets business needs, compliance with legislation as well as alignment with internal standards. The role is also required to identify and deliver process improvements to drive positive safety and environmental outcomes.

This role can be based in Melbourne, Mount Waverley, or Geelong.

**What you’ll deliver**:

- Support the implementation, maintenance and continuous development of whole of business health, safety and environment elements (including process systems and IT systems including Access Databases, Cintellate & Document Management Systems)
- Implement and monitor the effectiveness of the HSE management system documentation and tools, including policies, procedures, guidelines, and audit programs and recommend improvements to processes
- Train and guide others in the use of the management systems documentation and IT systems
- Update documentation and management system information (including intranet, document management system)
- Monitor legislative changes and identify impacts on business processes relating to HSE
- Undertake HSE reporting to meet key stakeholders’ and business needs, including operational, Board and Shareholders
- Provide effective technical support and expertise to senior management teams and HSE teams to drive ongoing improvement in HSE systems and performance
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure development and implementation of systems, processes and audits reflect specific current and future business requirements

To succeed in the role you’ll have:

- Demonstrated work experience in health, safety and environment with a significant proportion of time spent developing and improving management systems
- Tertiary qualification in WHS, OHS or EMS Management Systems
- Experience working within utilities, engineering, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, consulting or related industry
- Previous experience conducting and/or participating in audits and risk assessments relevant to health, safety and/or environment
- Ability to dissect, interpret and analyse data for trends and analysis
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work to deadlines
