About the Role
As the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Co-ordinator you will support and assist the National HSE Manager and site HSE Manager to drive improvement in safety and environmental performance within the business aligning with our corporate strategy and values. Support with integration and administration of the Goodman Fielder Safety & Environmental Management System and HSE Plan collaborating with operations, and the site Health, Safety and Environment Committee.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review open actions from incident reports and implementation
- Coordinate and report on the completion of all HSE site inspections, including racking, traffic management, safety walk schedule and quarterly site inspection
- Monitor contractor compliance assisting site to improve compliance through audits and documentation verification
- Maintain ChemWatch system, including ensuring the chemical inventory is up to date and QR codes are displayed at storage locations for easy access to SDS and other relevant information
- Maintain the Risk Assessment Register and complete HSE risk assessments, as required
- Complete environmental metrics reporting (production, water, waste, energy, chemical use) in Enablon
- Assist with the implementation of health and wellbeing initiatives
- Maintain HSE noticeboards and ensure information is kept up to date
- Act as Secretary for the site HSE Committee meeting
- Conduct HSE audits as required by the internal audit plan
- Coordinate external training requirements, including first aid, warden, confined spaces, permit to work
- Assist with coordinating and reporting on training against the HSE training needs analysis and keep the HSE skills matrix up to date
- Provide training and coaching on the use of all Enablon modules
- Provide investigation training and coaching
- Assist with developing the HSE toolbox talk program and communicating monthly talk topics
- Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring safety and environment considerations are included
- Support monthly reporting, including KPI monitoring and analysis
- Perform contractor management of the pre-approval and induction process
- Support compliance to the GF Injury Management program, as directed by the HSE Manger
About you
- 2+ years in a relevant or similar role ideally within a manufacturing, logistics, or other high risk environment
- Degree or Diploma in HSE or equivalent
- Self-driven individual with strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and good time management
- The ability to Build strong lasting relationships with stakeholders across the business
