HOT JOB: Purchasing/ Warehousing Officer, 6 - 12 months

Join one of WA's largest and most innovative port authorities for a 6-12 month opportunity as a Warehouse and Purchasing Officer in a bustling business area.

**Your new role**

In your new role, you will be reporting to the Purchasing & Warehouse Supervisor. You will oversee and be responsible for the management of the warehouse distribution process, involving inventory, purchasing and management of supply contracts.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Undertaking purchasing and distribution of goods and services for the Outer Harbour in accordance with supply policies and procedures.
- Coordinating the disposal process, which includes the coordination and control of all warehouse assets and equipment.
- Assisting the Warehouse Supervisors with the annual stocktake.
- Liaising with suppliers and sales representatives.
- Arranging servicing and maintenance of equipment and plant.
- Expediting purchase orders for stock items and direct supply, ensuring the end user is notified of the delivery and availability dates.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience with warehouse management responsibilities relating to materials management.
- Demonstrated experience with computerised supply systems in relation to procurement, contract and materials management.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed customer and quality service focus.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely within a team environment or independently with mínimal supervision.
- Current “LF” Class Forklift Operators licence.
- Experience with Oracle would be highly desirable.
