**The Role**

We are looking for a passionate and driven Quality Control Officer to join our team. The focus of the role will be to identify and implement actions to mitigate against business risks around food safety, quality, safety and environment. this position will see you working various shifts throughout the week, including some Saturdays (penalty rates apply).

**The Responsibilities**
- Record and action non-conformances from internal audits
- Assist Quality Assurance Officer and Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator with required actions for non-conformances form external audits
- Conduct daily finished product assessments and record results in line with current schedules and requirements.
- Monitor and complete daily internal calibrations for the site.
- Monitor temperature records for the site.
- Carry out quality checks on the lines i.e.; weight checks, ingredient traceability, metal detection and highlight any gaps with relevant staff.
- Conduct staff inductions, assist in staff training and maintain staff training records in relation to food handling and hygiene

**Knowledge, Skills, Qualities**
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
- Quality Control experience on the production line
- Food Technology and/or Science Qualification desirable, or other related field
- Sound knowledge of HACCP principles
- Willingness to learn and can-do attitude
- Ability to pick up internal systems quickly and adapt
- Able to work in and deal with issues in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
