**About the role**

The Technical Officer-Quality Assurance/Quality Control participates as a member of a team of professional and non-professional staff who work together to provide quality control services to ensure that SA Pharmacy manufacturing services deliver quality assured pharmaceutical products to customers and consumers of SA Pharmacy services.

The key functions of this role are to:

- undertake professional duties on a day to day basis in consultation with and under the direction of the Senior Quality Assurance/Control Scientist - State-wide Lead
- participate in the day-to-day operations, quality assurance and quality control programs of the QC Service
- assist, educate, train and co-ordinate pharmacy graduates and other staff in training in the provision of quality control services
- accept professional responsibility for the safety, quality standards, and outcomes of work undertaken in the QC service

**Essential Requirements**:

- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working With Children Check (DHS)
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Educational/Vocational Qualifications:

- A Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Science Certificate in chemistry, microbiology or other relevant discipline.
