Reporting directly to the COO the People and Culture Manager at Burger Urge will play a critical role in shaping the employee experience and organisational culture of one of the fastest-growing gourmet burger chains in the industry. You will be responsible for developing and implementing people strategies that align with the company's mission and values, while also driving business results.
The Role
- Developing and executing comprehensive talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent across all levels of the organisation.
- Working closely with the leadership team to build and maintain a positive and inclusive culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and fosters employee engagement, motivation, and productivity.
- Overseeing the development and delivery of employee training and development programs to support employee growth and career advancement, and drive business performance.
- Managing and optimising the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluation, and employee development planning.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, and supporting the People Manager team in managing employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Provide guidance and support to the in-store People Manager team on all employee lifecycle matters.
- Develop and successfully implement company policies, procedures, and processes ensuring that they are legislatively compliant and reflective of current best practice
- Onboard new staff at a Head Office and Manager level instore including; contracts, position descriptions, compliance items (Fair work statement, RSA certificates, etc), and training verification.

Additional details
- The probationary period will include 2 weeks in-store as a crew member learning the operational side of the business.
- KPI bonus will commence at the start of a new quarter or earlier at the discretion of the Director.
About you
- 5+ years of general HR experience
- 2+ years of HR Management experience
- Experience with employment contracts and PDs.
- Extensive regulatory, Fairwork, and NES knowledge.
- Capable of Award interpretation
