**About the Role**

The venue, Mary Mae’s, is located on the Brisbane river nestled between New Farm park and the Brisbane Powerhouse. Dominated by outdoor seating and Instagramable views - our venue is a focal point for tourists, locals and dog-owners alike. Whether it’s a morning coffee, cocktail event, or a performing arts festival there is always something happening to keep you focused and driven. As the Assistant Manager you will be asked to bring your own flare and style to the venue, help push staff to excel, assist and support the venue manager and help grow the business

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Be a hands-on, guest obsessed leader, motivating and driving your team to provide memorable guest experiences;
- Drive revenues by running shifts and going above and beyond for our guests;
- Support and inspire an energetic team of hospitality superstars;
- Assist in managing everything FOH related - stock ordering, creating beverage lists, rostering and training, labour forecasting and cost of goods - gotta keep that brain ticking
- Continue to build an amazing, collaborative and inclusive culture;
**About you**
- Management experience in everything hospitality - from coffee to cocktails, event management, and all things back of house;
- Exceptional leadership and people skills with an ability to motivate teams and mentor less experienced staff;
- A passion for creating great cocktails, impeccable beer & wine knowledge as well as excellent service;
- Great personal grooming, presentation and a confident and approachable manner;
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills;
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends;
- A minimum of two years in a similar role;

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
