**THE OPPORTUNITY**
**Salary**:$60,416 - $65,237 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience).
**Time Fraction**:Full Time, 1.0 EFT.**
**Location**:Glen Waverley campus.
**WWCC**: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
**Police Check**:Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
**Position Status**:Contract of employment to November 2025, please note that this is a maternity leave coverage position.
Are you driven to help shape the next generation of Early Childhood Education professionals? We're looking for a dedicated Placement Officer to join our vibrant team and support students on their path to becoming skilled educators.
In this essential role, you will assist in allocation of placements for early Childhood and Education learners. This will include assisting in strengthening partnerships with stakeholders and learners. You’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Work Placement Officer and Head of Department to review placement outcomes and continue to uphold set standards.
Your attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality will be key as you provide vital administrative support—maintaining records, preparing placement materials, and contributing to the department’s strategic initiatives. Make a meaningful difference in students’ learning journeys by helping deliver an enriching and professional placement experience.
**ABOUT YOU**
- A tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or a combination of lesser qualifications and relevant experience).
- Comprehensive understanding of the Early Childhood Education sector, including day-to-day operational practices and the specific demands of vocational student placements.
- Strong track record in coordinating student placements while effectively managing competing priorities and maintaining high standards of service within educational or complex organisational environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in administrative operations, including office systems and record management, with a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and the ability to adapt to evolving requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with students, staff, industry stakeholders, and community organisations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database systems, and modern digital tools commonly used in administrative and educational settings.
