**Position Information**:
Randwick High School's foundation year in 2025 will mark the beginning of a new era for public education in the Eastern Suburbs area. Founded in a rich heritage of public education, we draw strength in our diverse and engaged learning community. Our school will serve approximately 1500 students in its inaugural year, and celebrates its inclusivity, catering for students of all needs and many cultural backgrounds (including 58% from language backgrounds other than English).
Our teachers provide a wealth of rich learning experiences to engage all students in extending their potential and pursuing their passions. We will offer a broad curriculum, energising learners through classroom and co-curricular experiences.

**Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
1. Proven ability to be an accessible leader who fosters successful partnerships with key stakeholders and possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate and manage the complexities of a wellbeing and learning support faculty.
2. Commitment to work as a member of the executive team focusing on the school’s strategic priorities to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching, learning and wellbeing.
3. Capacity to lead teams to deliver a coordinated, whole school approach to improve outcomes for all students and foster a positive school culture.
4. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the complex educational and welfare needs of students and abilities to ensure specialist support is tailored to each child as required.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
