As a Tech Lead in Data & Enterprise Technology (DET) Insurance team, you champion industry best practice, solutions, and technologies, and have superior skills in delivering automated data supply chains, combining, transforming, and enriching data from multiple sources to provide value for Business consumers.

You proactively share knowledge, mentoring and coaching Data Engineers to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiencies across all Data Engineering delivery. You use your technical leadership and influence to drive team performance, bringing new techniques and ways of working to the team where needed.

**Key Job Requirements**

**Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology.
- AWS certified Cloud Practitioner
- AWS certified Data Analytics Specialty or demonstrable experience
- AWS certified Database Specialty or demonstrable experience
- ITIL Foundations

**Experience**
- At least 5 years appropriate industry experience in large Insurance organisation.
- Demonstrable experience in Data Migration projects that include working with large/complex of SQL, Database Views, Unix script, Schedules, lineage, data analysis, reconciliation.
- Strong SQL background, with capability to Write SQL with a performance mindset, troubleshoot performance, mentor and train other staff.
- Demonstrable ability to perform analysis, data mapping validation as well as data model implementation. Comfortable working and leading within conceptual, logical, and physical data models following either Inmon or Kimball patterns.
- Deep understanding of databases, data storage and data movement tools including how optimise development & approaches aligning to best practices.

- Strong understanding of BI data structures and how to optimise data delivery for different BI Reporting tools
- Strong programming skills and ability to learn new programming techniques and languages

- Working knowledge of information technology and technology industry trends and issues

- Strong stakeholder management, planning, organisation, decision making and time management skills
- Ability to rapidly acquire an understanding of complex business problems/requirements to develop solutions and designs, regardless of existing areas of expertise or specialisation.
- Lead by example, through using and championing standardised delivery & coding practices and standards, tools and DevOps practices.
