**Your Key Accountabilities will include**:

- Work under limited supervision using a high level of initiative to resolve issues, deliver practical solutions and disseminate information which supports business outcomes.
- Routinely prioritise competing demands in order to meet business and performance timeframes.
- Coordinate activities across the Policy and Programs Unit, Youth Justice on behalf of the Assistant Commissioner, ensuring that Command Priorities are met.
- Provide leadership and supervision to subordinate staff and monitor performance including the assessment of workplace competencies if required.
- Research and prepare correspondence including complex reports and letters to internal and external clients.
- Develop, implement and maintain office systems, policy and procedures to ensure effective and efficient management of the Policy and Programs Unit, Youth Justice.
- Organise and coordinate meetings, conferences, ceremonies and other events and attend to any follow-up action.
- Develop and maintain effective communications and collaborative working relationships with executive, senior officers, support staff and external clients.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo psychometric assessment, prior to appointment.
