They play a pivotal role in continuously striving to meet the evolving needs of their constituents, and to support their mission, they’re seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join the team as a Coordinator Procurement & Contracts.
**The role**:
As a Coordinator Procurement & Contracts, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient procurement processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Providing specialist support and advice to staff in developing procurement plans that enhance procurement activity and performance.
- Ensuring regular updates to the Procurement Policy in accordance with legislation and council requirements, along with associated training processes.
- Leading annual procurement and contract management training to enhance staff understanding and mitigate risks.
- Reviewing and improving processes, practices, and documents to enhance the efficiency of procurement services.
- Championing the use of their source-to-pay suite, driving uptake across the organisation, and identifying collaboration opportunities with other councils.
- Analysing purchasing data and contract spend to identify aggregation opportunities and improve transparency.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to enable strategic, cost-effective procurement decisions.
**Successful Applicants will hold**:
- Comprehensive knowledge of procurement services, policies, and legislation.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and thrive under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management and building positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of accountability.
- Sound knowledge of relevant Local Government Legislation and procurement procedures.
