General Manager, Testing and Environment Management

Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Systems and Publishing Operations (ESPO), you will be responsible for leading and evolving a world class Testing and Environment Management practice.

We have an ambitious digital delivery roadmap that underpins our evolving suite of product offerings. This instrumental role will ensure we continue to meet quality delivery expectations by providing guardrails, process, guidance, and resourcing across the domains of Testing and Environment Management. The role leads a large team of permanent and partner resources including an Environment Manager, Test Delivery Practice Managers, Test Delivery Leads, Automation/Test Engineers

**What’s the role?**
- Leading testing activities across multiple delivery teams throughout the technology function and driving the strategic roadmap for the testing practice uplift
- Implementing and championing key quality practice initiatives - test automation, shifting left, fit for purposes test frameworks (quality vs cost), environment and test data management
- Building out the environment management strategy and capability, to provide fit for purpose solutions and support for the many initiatives that leverage the service.
- Implementing, measuring and analysing metrics to produce Testing and Environment Management health including effectiveness reporting.
- Coaching, mentoring and supporting a team of highly skilled practitioners
- Working across a range of matrix platform teams to align on Testing and Environment Management processes and supporting tools
- Working closely with selected delivery partners to ensure resource requirements across the portfolio are met.

- Proven experience in a similar role
- A forward thinking quality and technology champion, not afraid to question the status quo
- A strong leader, influencer and relationship builder, who enjoys technical talk, as well as strategic conversations with senior IT and business stakeholders
- Experienced in leading testing and environment management function at a large organisation including exposure to next generation testing and environment management tools and techniques
- You can tell the story, influence stakeholders and implement key strategic initiatives
- A extreme problem solver, key collaborator and advocate for continuous improvement
- You love metrics Producing them, deriving insights and driving action from them
