**What you will do**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Safety & Quality**: Enforce safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with GMP and HACCP. Conduct regular inspections and maintain high food safety levels.
- **Production Management**: Plan and organize production workflows, manage high-volume demands, and implement process improvements. Coordinate and communicate with the Supply Department and Distribution Centres.
- **Labor Management**: Supervise and motivate Line Leaders, Team Leaders, and Supervisors. Adjust casual labor levels as needed and manage performance and timesheets.
- **Planning & Buying**: Collaborate with warehouse and supply chain teams to ensure timely procurement and efficient stock management.
- **Quality Control**: Ensure adherence to quality standards, manage non-conforming products, and provide QA training to production staff.
- **People Management**: Lead and develop your team, using ERP systems and HR policies to enhance performance and address staffing issues. You will have 4 employees reporting directly to you.
- **Occupational Health & Safety**: Implement OH&S policies, manage hazards, and ensure compliance with WorkCover standards for machinery operators.
- **Administration**: Oversee stock management, analyze production reports, and monitor CODB. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and company policies.

**Essential Requirements**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, with a background in a manufacturing or process-oriented environment, preferably within the fruit and vegetable or food industry.
- **Knowledge**: Strong understanding of fresh produce, including seasonal variations and quality standards. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety systems, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- **Skills**: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with resource databases. Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and negotiation.
- **Leadership**: Proven track record of managing and motivating teams, including experience with direct reports. Ability to effectively utilize ERP systems and HR policies to drive performance and manage staffing issues.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing production processes and quality control.
- **Flexibility**: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, adapting quickly to changing demands and maintaining efficiency.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates
