
Charter Customer and Sales Support Officers

**ABOUT THE BUSINESS**
Due to the successful award of additional Greater Sydney Bus Contracts, Transit Systems has several positions for Charter **Customer & Sales Support Officers **for our Greater-Western Sydney operations.
Reporting to the Manager Commercial and Charters the **Customer & Sales Support Officers **will provide support to the charter services in the field and in depots as required.
The **Customer & Sales Support Officers **will Support the Manager in achieving business goals as set by Management to deliver quality bus charter services across our expanded Western Sydney Network.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Responsible for the effective operation of Transit Systems NSW charter services. Coordinate and administer arrangements for the delivery of bus charter services including booking, costing, pricing, invoicing and reporting in accordance with Transit Systems NSW policies and procedures.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Allocate charters in accordance with Transit Systems Fatigue Management Policies.
- Optimise use of fleet across the depots for charters.
- Support and assist in strategies to achieve charter development and maximize revenue growth.
- Liaise effectively with external and internal stakeholders regarding charters including schools and Operations staff.
- Ability to work in a dynamic work environment of constantly changing priorities.
- Collect data and prepare reports for Transit Systems NSW e.g. charter revenue, wet days and subcontractors.
- Prepare and distribute associated correspondence such as daily charter sheets
- Work with Operations to effectively allocate drivers for Charters, special events and rail work, (as required); complying with NHVR and AFM, reporting and operational requirements, and optimal customer outcomes
- Any other duties as required.
**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:
- Good customer relations and inter-personal skills.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office products.
- Support Manager in achieving business goals as set by Management in regards to Charters.
- Experience in a dynamic work environment of constantly changing priorities.
- Ability to learn industry-specific software packages.
**HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS**
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent knowledge of Metropolitan area.
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent Customer service skills and the ability to thrive under pressure and remain calm
- Ability to be Flexible
- The ability to multitask while remaining detail oriented.
- Previous experience with Charter/booking programs and software such as TIMS or other relevant systems
**DESIRABLE SKILLS**
- Ability to work independently and / or in a team.
- Report writing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in excel, word and Microsoft systems
