**Your Opportunity**:
We are seeking a talented and passionate **Microsoft 365 Principal Consultant** to join our M365 Practice. You can be based anywhere in Australia but must be an Australian Citizen (non-negotiable, as we work with many government agencies who require this).

As a **Principal Consultant, M365** you will be responsible for developing strong relationships and providing professional consulting services to deliver solutions based on customer needs. An expert in your field, you are experienced in all phases of a project, and will provide leadership of tasks such as requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, training, and support.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and executing the discovery, design and delivery of solutions following SOCO's methodology, ensuring client deliverables are of a high quality and align with SOCO's standards
- Leading discovery activities such as client workshops and documenting these findings in a way that demonstrates our understanding and builds trust with the client
- Developing and documenting appropriate solution designs that leverage the functionality of the platform and identify areas where the platform will need to be extended through customisations and integrations
- Creating and managing backlogs to support the implementation of a solution design, including appropriate details and acceptance criteria
- Accurately estimating effort for project implementation, including supporting activities
- Identifying and effectively managing potential project risks or issues as they arise
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, becoming a trusted partner and key contact
- Proactively identifying opportunities based on customer needs (e.g., opportunities for alternative approaches or to win more work)
- Working closely with the Sales and Account Management teams to facilitate pre
- sales activities and help win opportunities
- Guiding clients and internal stakeholders in best practices and providing recommendations and direction where appropriate

- Demonstrate outstanding consulting and expert technical skills in SharePoint and Document Management Systems (DMS), with the ability to quickly gain the confidence of customers and colleagues through clear, effective communication
- Possess demonstrable experience in managing and leading client engagements end to end
- Communicate clearly and logically (verbally and in writing) with internal and external stakeholders
- Have a solid understanding in one or more of the following Microsoft 365 areas:

- SharePoint
- Document Management Systems
- File Share
- MS Teams
- Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerBI, Power Automate)
- Workflows (e.g., Nintex)
- Migrations
- Scripting (e.g., PowerShell)
- Development (e.g., SPFX, Java Script)
- Have seasoned experience across all project phases and the demonstrated technical ability to design, coordinate and put solutions into practice
- Are capable of eliciting requirements, developing conceptual and technical architectures and implementing solutions
- Enjoy - and are experienced in - managing a small team and guiding professional development
- Collaborate well to meet tight timelines, ensure consistency and excellence
- Have extensive knowledge in the functional and technical aspects of the Microsoft 365 / Power Platform
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of how SharePoint and the Power Platform fit into the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem
