**Company**:
Our client is a reputable and highly successful (50+ year track record) group of companies in market leading product solutions to a variety of industry sectors including agriculture, manufacturing and packaging.

**Role**:
Reporting directly to the Procuring & Sourcing Manager, in role of inventory controller you will oversee the management, purchase, importation and replenishment of products to ensure optimum stock levels.

The Inventory Controller will be responsible for procurement, shipping, running stock takes, maintaining database accuracy and managing both internal and external customer relationships.

**Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate good communication between Customer Service, Purchasing and Warehouse teams.
- Expedite deliveries from suppliers, maintain records with logistics providers and in our ERP system. Update stakeholders as required.
- Investigate causes of damaged and missing stock and escalating any concerns.
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
- Perform all procurement and contracting activities in line with Procurement & Sourcing manager directions.
- Work with warehouse manager to deliver service improvements to safety and profitability.
- Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve on time delivery, safety and profitability.
- Expedite deliveries with suppliers as required - maintain accurate records within our PRONTO ERP system.
- Create and action shipments when importing purchases from overseas, work with accounts around payments to suppliers and logistics providers, make sure spend is accounted for correctly into the product cost.
- Manage stock takes across the group, schedule and update results.
- Maintain supplier database, feed results to account managers.

**You**:

- Are a self-motivated individual, eager to develop their current skill-set and take complete ownership of a role
- Are a strong communicator with a demonstrated ability to develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic suppliers.
- Are familiar with sourcing and vendor management
- Working experience of Pronto software or similar (advantage)
- Solid previous experience in role with similar responsibilities (prerequisite)
- Tertiary education in supply chain management, logistics or business administration (advantage)
